The Ball at Gettysburg High School

In collaboration with the Amnesty International Club, who helped to organize the event, our team was able to come into contact and speak with about 1000 children at the school. 250 people signed The Ball. The conversations were mostly focused on gender equality and The Ball’s journey to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.

Jeremy Lusk, the Principal of Gettysburg Area High School and Kristy Caywood, Assistant Principal, spoke about the school taking measures to become more energy efficient:
„We have a major construction project geared towards energy efficiency. Our H-Vac system has been redone for better air quality and more efficiency and energy savings, all new LED lighting on timers so that the lights don’t stay on when they don’t need to be on. It is the little things that count. In terms of recycling, we are trying to preach around school and around town to make things that little bit better.“
