The Ball has specifically chosen to visit Kiribati because of the ssevere impact climate change is having on their collection of atolls. The team will conduct education and advocacy workshops in Kiribati, sharing education methods in sustainability and gender equality with local partners (from clubs over schools to NGOS) and learn what they are already doing in these areas.
The program aims to learn from each other: What approaches do you have to make your everyday life more sustainable? The Ball and its team will document the effects of climate change and share the information with their global network – to raise awareness of the fate of Kiribati and the other Pacific islands if the world does not take measures to tackle climate change.
