The US-American Spirit Ambassadors (the Stenger family and “The Ball”) met the (still) reigning world champions in the USA: The United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) around world stars like Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgen. With their signatures on “The Ball”, they have made a promise for more gender equality.
Megan Rapinoe, who has been voted the world’s best player several times, is not only a true role model thanks to her outstanding sporting achievements, but also through her commitment to gender equality, diversity and acceptance on and off the football pitch.
In this way, she represents goals and values that are also championed by The Ball 2023, one of the balls produced fairly in Kenya by alive and kicking, which will travel to the Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia for the first time.
Namely, to contribute to the realisation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially with a focus on SDG No.5: “Gender Equality”.
