The entire Spirit of Football crew and The Ball itself would like to send our great appreciation to The University of Notre Dame (USA) London Global Gateway programme. Joshua Copeland, Joanna Byrne and the entire team allowed for the Spirit of Football crew (12 people) to stay at their central London student accommodation from the 8th to the 14th of July. London is a very expensive place to stay. We are a very small non-profit organisation and are very grateful for this generous support. We are also working with the University of Notre Dame in September when The Ball will visit the ND campus in South Bend Indiana to run workshops with the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams and students.
The SOF Team will run a fair play football sessions and a climate action workshop with Notre Dame students in London in October around the Sport Positive Summit on climate action. Jo Byrne, Associate Director for Communications and Engagement, London Global Gateway made this pledge on behalf of the programme:
“This year we are going to focus on using more sustainable caterers in our operations.”
