Thanks to Ghozi, our friend who worked for Spirit of Football in Germany and is now back based in Bali, we were invited to a Water Purification Full Moon Ceremony at the Penglukatan Amertha Buana Temple in Bali.
We bathed in the river, gave offerings to the Spirits and went though several ceremonies in different pools of water – all under a beautiful full moon. It was a lession of patience and mindfulness, as well as strength against the slight coldness of the waters. Letting go of negative energy, being in line with nature, connecting back with nature and the Spirits are all goals of the Water Purification Ceremony.
After the ceremony, we had long conversations with the local workshippers and spiritual leaders, about The Ball, our journey and life.
Amazingly, The Ball also received a blessing from the spiritual leader and is now agleam for its future endeavours.
