We had met Julia Farr at Borussia Dortmund in Germany, where we ran a sustainability workshop in August 2022. We reconnected with her in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in March 2022 with The Ball where we co-delivered a TOT session at the football for good organisation Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF). Julia, who is based in Singapore and works for BVB Asia Pacific, invited us to visit Bundesliga International’s Singapore office. We presented The Ball and invited all in attendance to make pledges and to sign it. Signatories included BVB Asia Pacific Managing Director Dr. Suresh Letchmanan and Carsten Cramer (CMO of Borussia Dortmund) and Kevin Sim, Head of Asia Pacific at Bundesliga International. All of whom are aware of the importance of becoming more sustainable in their practices. Some pledged to reduce their meat consumption or to go vegan.
