May 17: The Ball met the Indonesian U20 Women’s National Team
Coach Yopi and his team are coaching talented girls of different ages to get them ready for the full national team. We were impressed by the enthusiasm and talent of the players and how Coach Yopi Riwoe and his team are developing Women’s Football with limited resources. Men’s football is funded in Indonesia but women are fighting for scraps. The Football Association seems to have the idea of first wanting to see success before they fund, which doesn’t appear to be logical to us. We hope that The Ball’s visit to the U20 Women’s team can help in promoting Women’s Football in Indonesia!
Thank you also to Coach Val Arnold Raharja for connecting us to Coach Yopi and his team and thank you to Maya for taking great pictures and videos during our session!
Thank you for being part of our journey – we will take your story with us to the FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia!
Saya sangat senang bahwa anda datang ke Indonesia untuk membantu kami mengkampanyekan SEPAK BOLA WANITA untuk SEMUA.
SATU BOLA, SATU DUNIA ?⚽️✊
