From the 15 th to the 30 th of April, “The Ball,” the Olympic Torch of football, will pass through the Philippines.
As The Ball makes its way around the globe, it collects signatures from people who promise to support efforts to achieve gender equality and climate action. The Ball has been signed by almost 56,000 individuals worldwide since 2002. Over 30 events and workshops that promoted action on gender equality and climate change among football aficionados were put on by 57 partner groups between 2022 and 2023.

April 15- 16:Spirit of Football will collect signatures from 2 members of the Women’s National Team as well as team captains of university clubs to be held during the University Athletic Association of The Philippines (UAAP) games in the University of the Philippines.
April 17-18: The Ball remains in Manila with the Spirit Team conducting a workshop with Partner Gawad Kalinga.
April 19 -20: The Ball travels to Baguio City to meet the mayor and to conduct a workshop with the Barrio Football Club.
March 21- 23: The Ball travels to the Cordillera Region to meet with the Kankanaey Indigenous People as organized by the Hapiyomi Cultural Group.
March 24-27: The Ball makes its way to the Central Visayas and conducts a workshop with JCI in the island of Bohol.
March 28-30: The Ball arrives in Cebu City to visit various communities …
