About The Ball:

Soccer`s Olympic Torch – The Ball is en route to Brazil.

After 9000 miles, 10 countries, 20 school workshops, 14 visits to top European soccer clubs, and nearly 50 days on the road accumulating more than 4500 signatures, soccer`s Olympic Torch is in San Francisco en route through 25 countries from London to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. It is celebrating the positive Spirit of soccer around the globe.

Superstars of the world game like Lucas Leiva at
FC Liverpool, Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus at Borussia Dortmund and Italian international Alberto Gilardino at Genoa CFC have all signed it. So too have homeless street soccer players in Glasgow and
NYC and refugees in Atlanta. So too have Notre Dame Men`s football and soccer stars, US Senators, Mayors of cities, policemen, military folk and firefighters and countless other children and adults across Europe and the USA.

FC Barcelona`s soccer stars have also signed in to support the message: One Ball, One World. The message is a simple one that one ball and the sport of football can connect people all around the world regardless of race, religion, intellectual capacity or sexual orientation. School children have been surprised and elated to see the video message from their heroes Cesc Fabregas, Riobert Song, Dani Alves and Gerald Pique supporting the One Ball, One World initiative.

The Ball is coming to share its One Ball, One World message with Street Soccer USA and Spikes FC in San Francisco from 1st to 3rd of March. From street to school
to stadium, from world super star to aspiring youth, The Ball will get to feel the true positive Spirit of community in San Francisco.

The Ball visited the Marbridge Foundation in Austin, Texas and met a young man named John Molina with a spirit of football story to tell.
