June 15th:<\/em>
\nFiji is a village, one could say. We learnt this on arrival as we ran into the famous Fijian rugby player Nasila Sila at Nadi International Airport. Fijians also love their seafood \u2013 and there is plenty of it. It was therefore no real surprise that, at our stop for lunch at the locally famous Lautoka Wharf, we bumped into two famous Fijians in two minutes. First up was Hon. Filimoni Vosarogo, the Fijian Minster for Lands and Mineral Resources, who happily signed The Ball and pledged:<\/p>\n

Bula everybody. My name is Filimoni Vosarogo. I am the Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources in the Fiji Islands. For us her in Fiji we are promoting mangrove preservation and everywhere else around the world and particularly in the Pacific that is what we want to do. Just to remind everybody that we all belong to one ecological system and so we all need to make our little contribution to preserving the one earth we have.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Just minutes later, one of Rugby\u2019s biggest ever world stars, New Zealand All Blacks legend with Fijian roots, Roe Rokocoko signed The Ball. He pledged to help young people in the communities he works in.<\/p>\n
