NUREMBERG – Header Against Racism

“Header – Learning in the stadium”

For the length of this pedagogical action, Spirit of Football focuses on civic education.

The Max-Morlock-Stadium lies within the area of the former Reichsparteitag (the party congress of the Nazis) and was actually used for events by the Reichsparteitag. For the project-participants of the 8th and 9th grade, this meant some insights into German history.

The 1st FC Nürnbrg was decorated with the Julius-Hirsch-Prize for its work against racism and the commemoration of the former Jewish Club trainer Jenö Konrad.

Our Club, Spirit auf Football, is also engaged in the education of young people on history. With the cooperation-project at the memorial site of Topf und Söhne in Erfurt, Spirit builds a bridge between the subject of football and the history of National-Socialism, using the example of Julius Hirsch.
