Stuff. More stuff. Even more stuff. Phil tells it like it is as we prepare to leave Japan.

Homeward bound…

Our stuff packs itself… more keen than we are to leave for England.

Well, we eventually touched down in Paris, where we were met by a driver from Kirker Travel, who kindly donated Eurostar tickets for the two of us to get back to Ashford (where we’re to be picked up by Ben and hopefully driven straight to the nearest pub for a pint of proper ale). Rather sweetly, the driver was waiting with the following sign as we walked out of the arrivals gate…

Ware and Wash
Wake / Wach

  1. Is anybody else still reading this every day?

  2. Huh, oh, um, yawn… sheesh, someone posting… hi there Tim, sorry, but I’d fallen a sleep for a few weeks there.

Not sure if there are any regular visitors any more; I can feel the wind whistling through the scrub, a few windows clattering in the distance, and the occasional howl of a hungry wolf.

  3. i think your website is really good. how much for the ball?

  4. Ah the Ball – resting peacefully on Phil’s mantlepiece in Brighton. We were going to auction it for charity while we were in Japan, but plans kinda fell apart. Perhaps we should reconsider the idea…

How much are you offering, Michael?

  5. a half chance lottery ticket.

  6. That much?

Sorry, mate – given what this football’s been through, I’d say something a little more generous would be needed. Go on, think of your favourite charity, how much they need the funds, and how much they’d appreciate your generosity…

    Any other takers out there?
