“Casa Futebol” proposals for alternative usage of stadiums

The project “Casa Futebol” proposes alternative usage for the stadiums renovated or built for the 2014 World Cup. The ideas, although seemingly unrealistic open up the debate: What can be done with these stadiums? How can future stadiums be truly multi purpose arenas? How can they become spaces where people can live and work, community space for meetings, education, sport, health, places for art and culture. The modern stadium is very expensive, seldom used and taking up a lots of valuable space. How can the failed stadium concept be fixed?

Say NO to racism

Neo NAZIS are have been using the World Cup success and the accompanying swell of nationalism to promote an agenda of hate. The new Germany has heroes of African, Turkish and Polish descent who go by the names of Boetang, Ozil and Klose. This new Germany is creative, tolerant and exciting just like the national team itself. Now is the time to celebrate this new Germany and say NO to racism.

So geh’n die Gauchos

After doing so much to create a positive image of Germany in Brazil and throughout the world, is it not a shame to see the behavior of some German players celebrating their victory by ridiculing others? Come on guys, you are better than this.
