My sympathies go out to them and their spirited team, who more than exceeded my expectations in the absence of a certain Mr. Keane. I really thought they could win the game in extra time – they certainly began to outplay Spain… but it was not to be.

Great Irish performance and a dynamite run out by Duff.
What had he been taking?
Clearly a high dose of Irish inspiration.
He was magnificent.
Performance of the tournament so far.
Shame about them penalties though.
